Hi! I’m Cristina, a passionate registered Nutritional Consultant with expertise in carbohydrate-restricted whole food diets for weight management.
Throughout the years, I have helped many people transform not only their bodies but also their minds, showing them how to make the right food choices without being left feeling hungry or deprived.
My hands-on approach allows people to learn lifestyle skills that last. I don’t ‘teach’ people, I empower them to make healthy decisions for themselves, so that they will not need a nutritionist or to follow a meal plan for the rest of their lives.

I firmly believe that food affects all aspects of life, both personal – mental and physical – and social.
My goal is for Freshkia to become the benchmark for fresh food.
At Freshkia you will find information on how to eat healthily: articles related to nutrition, recipes, motivational phrases and food analysis among others.
By fresh we mean food made with natural ingredients. As a general rule, any ingredient that you can eat within a few months and is processed is not fresh.
Eat regularly: meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, fruit, nuts and healthy fats such as virgin olive oil.
If it feels good, eat in moderation: dairy products, tubers, pulses and dark chocolate.
Avoid eating: grains, sugar, hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated fats such as margarine or pastries, oils with high levels of Omega-6, artificial sweeteners, low-fat or light products and processed foods.
Drink: all the water you want. Occasionally tea, coffee and wine.
Although we believe that most people would benefit from a diet without grains and refined sugar, we are aware that there is no single diet that suits everyone: there are people who are lactose intolerant, others who follow a low carb diet…
Therefore, all our recipes are categorised so you can eat the way that makes you feel the best, but always Freshkia!
Our recipes are easy to prepare and usually contain a maximum of 5 ingredients (not counting basic ingredients like olive oil, salt and pepper).
No more excuses, everyone can prepare healthy and delicious meals without spending hours in the kitchen!
